Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 13, 2026
By registering for the Montgomery Mystery Hunt (“the Hunt”), operated by Pencil and Stone Marketing, you agree to be bound by this Charter. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not participate.
1. Eligibility
Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Those under 18 may participate only with the express consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The Hunt is designed for residents and visitors of Montgomery County, Texas.
2. Registration & Accounts
You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. Only one registration per person is permitted. You are responsible for maintaining the security of any account details and for all activities that occur under your registration.
3. VIP Paid Membership
The VIP Membership is a recurring subscription priced at $20.00 per month. Benefits include a 24-hour head start on all Hunt riddles and exclusive clues.
- Billing: Your membership auto-renews monthly until cancelled.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your member dashboard.
- Refunds: We do not offer partial refunds for mid-month cancellations. Your access remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
4. Code of Conduct
Hunters must act with integrity. The following behaviors will result in immediate disqualification:
- Trespassing on private property.
- Damaging, moving, or tampering with public or private property.
- Harassing other participants or local business staff.
- Engaging in illegal activities during the pursuit of the Hunt.
The Hunt takes place in public spaces; respect all local laws and ordinances.
5. Prizes & Verification
The first participant to successfully solve all riddles and complete the Hunt requirements wins the designated prize. The Hunt organizers reserve the sole right to verify the winner’s eligibility and completion steps. Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes on prizes.
6. Limitation of Liability
Participation in the Hunt is entirely at your own risk. Pencil and Stone Marketing, its sponsors, and partners are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during participation. By entering, you waive any claims for personal injury or property damage against the organizers.
7. Modifications to the Hunt
Organizers reserve the right to modify the rules, prizes, or timeline of the Hunt at any time to ensure fairness or public safety. Continued participation following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
