What is the Montgomery Mystery Hunt?

The Montgomery Mystery Hunt is a real-world treasure hunt that takes place across Montgomery County, Texas, including cities, towns, and surrounding communities throughout the county. Each month, a physical Treasure Token is hidden in a publicly accessible location somewhere within Montgomery County.

Once the Hunt begins, registered players will receive cryptic riddles delivered by text message. Your mission is to decipher the clues, explore real locations, and follow the trail until you locate the Treasure Token. The first eligible, registered player to legally find and claim the token wins the $1,000 cash prize for that Hunt. We’re currently registering players now, with the next Hunt scheduled to launch within the next 30 days.

What is the VIP head start?

VIP Members receive a 24-hour head start on every Hunt. That means VIP members get the first riddle 24 hours before Standard Hunters receive the same riddle, giving you a real advantage when the Hunt goes live. Anyone can register and play for free, but VIP Members get early access, exclusive perks, and the benefit of starting ahead of the crowd.
